The High School Bigs Program is a school-based mentoring initiative offered through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central California that empowers high school students to serve as mentors to younger children.

In this structured, one-to-one mentoring relationship, a high school volunteer (“Big”) is matched with an elementary-aged child (“Little”). Matches meet weekly for 90 minutes after school at the Little’s elementary campus, where they participate in organized, hands-on enrichment activities designed to promote academic growth, confidence, and positive social development.

This program not only strengthens younger students but also cultivates leadership, responsibility, and character development in high school mentors, all under the guidance of professional program staff.
