The Bigs with Badges Program is a specialized mentoring initiative offered through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central California that connects youth with trusted professionals from law enforcement and public safety backgrounds.
In this professionally supported, one-to-one mentoring relationship, an adult volunteer (“Big”) with experience in law enforcement is matched with a child (“Little”) to provide guidance, stability, and positive role modeling. Bigs in this program have the flexibility to mentor through Community-Based, Lunch Buddies, Beyond School Walls, or a combination of program settings, allowing the match structure to best fit their availability and the child’s needs.
This program strengthens relationships between youth and community protectors while fostering trust, leadership, and long-term positive outcomes.
