Amanda Phelps

PROGRAM MANAGER

As the High School Bigs Program Director at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central California, I bring over 11 years of dedicated service to advancing our mission of empowering youth through impactful, one-to-one mentoring relationships. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services with a concentration in Family and Children Services, which strengthens my ability to support youth and families in meaningful and effective ways throughout the Central Valley.

I believe every child deserves someone who believes in them despite their circumstances; someone who truly sees them, believes in them, and reminds them of their worth. My passion for this work is deeply personal, and I understand firsthand how life-changing it can be when just one caring individual steps in to offer guidance and support. That kind of connection can alter the course of a child’s life, and it’s what drives me to continue this work every day.

In my role, I provide strategic leadership to ensure our programs meet the evolving needs of young people, families, and volunteers across the community. With a strong focus on growth, sustainability, and measurable impact, I collaborate with staff, partners, and stakeholders to expand opportunities and deepen our reach.

I am committed to fostering a culture of integrity, inclusion, and excellence, while creating lasting, positive change in the lives of youth. By sharing my story, I hope to inspire others to step forward, get involved, and be that one person who can make a difference.
