“Funnovations Inc.” to Descend Upon Fresno on July 7th with Truckloads of Fun Surprises…

WHAT: The Old Navy Funnovation Nation Tour is kicking off in Fresno – one of four lucky places where a consumer submitted video has won the town a once-in-a-lifetime party and a $10,000 community grant for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central California.

Old Navy asked folks to prove in a :60 or less video what makes THEM fun and whether they have what it takes to rally their community into unleashing the fun they have within. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central California, was selected as the recipient of a $10,000 grant and a spectacular party with stylish giveaways, fun family activities and lots of live entertainment, all at no cost to attendees. The three other winning cities of the Old Navy Funnovation Nation contest are Kearney, NE; Calhoun, GA, and Wilmington, NC.

  • Special Guests:  Congressman Jim Costa will be attending to present the $10,000 check to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central California
  • Fleet of Fun:  Old Navy trucks will parade through Fresno’s streets to Woodward Park, spreading cheer and inviting the community to the party along the way.
  • Live Music: Local rock/funk band and Fresno favorites, HR7, will “rock” the crowd with a live performance
  • Tasty Treats:  Summer favorites include snow cones, lemonade, hot dogs and more!
  • Fun-tastic Activities: Photobooths, bean bag games, bubble wand contests and ring toss in addition to a dance party at 2:30 p.m. for the little ones (and kids of all ages) complete with beach balls and hula hoops!
  • Free Swag: Party-goers can visit the big, bold Old Navy RV for clothing giveaways. Also, the first 20 guests in each market who check in to Funnovation Nation on Foursquare will win a $50 Old Navy gift card.
  • Make a Difference: There will be a Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central California sign up table in the Activities Tent. Then at 3:30 p.m. Congressman Costa will be presenting a giant check on behalf of Old Navy to the organization.
